About the Artist

Julie Anne Krafft was born on October 6, 1965 ... with a Libra sun, Virgo ascendant, and under an Aquarius moon.  This Wednesday's child is full of wit rather than woe.  Her Krafft became Keefe in 1991 when Julie became wife (and trusty co-pilot) to Dan.  Two years later, she became mother (and student) to daughter, Alyssa, and the art of living happily ever after really began.  These lucky three share their suburban Cincinnati home with two rescued greyhounds, Fred and Phoebe, as well as two shelter kitties, Tansy and Garrett.

Julie's artistic adventure began when she was old enough to hold a crayon, advanced to potholder making (you remember those loops and looms, don't you?), and has creatively flowed and evolved over time.  Julie is a writer, a wrapper and a mandala manifester.  She has been a calligrapher, had an ongoing love affair with her Lomo LCA, and recently learned enough about the art of bookmaking to make her dangerous.  Julie loves to crochet, color, bead, paint, and decoupage.  You will see the fruits of these (and other) creative passions expressed here at the Workshop, sooner or later, in some form or another.

A life-long student, Julie is always eager to learn new ways to support and enhance her "happily ever after" lifestyle and share it with others through Jakk's Magic Beans Workshop.  Julie has attended Atma yoga classes since 1999, which naturally led to living a more holistic lifestyle.  Her path as a healer began when she became a Reiki I practitioner in October, 2000.  Reiki II followed in June, 2004.  In April, 2007, she became an Usui Reiki Master.  Julie has studied with Lisa Roth to became a TAOMCHI Master Crystologist and with Carol Bridges of Nine Harmonies School of Feng Shui to become a consultant (in the Black Sect Tantric Buddhist tradition).  She has also studied Animal Reiki with Kathleen Prasad and is currently exploring the role of the moon in our day-to-day life through astrologer, Dana Gerhardt.

Julie is pleased and privileged to showcase her creations, offer her talents and lend her support in service to the well-being of others.  With all due respect, Julie understands that this need not be serious business.  Hey, life is supposed to be fun!  And sometimes trying something new and making the tiniest adjustment, while suspending our disbelief in the process, can (at the very least) reduce our stress.  This, in turn, can lead to a shift in how we feel about our body, home, relationships, work, and life as a whole, which can clear the space for magic and miracles to bloom.

Please contact Julie with any questions, to commission a creation or to schedule an appointment.
